Applicants for the MPH program are exempted from an English exam provided they completed their schooling years and/or bachelor’s program at a recognized school where the medium of teaching is English.

First Semester (30 Credits)
To introduce students to the discipline of public health, to give an overview of the methods of prevention and health promotion, To understand the determinants and measures of disease and health related states, To understand the status of health and disease at global and national levels.
To present students some basic techniques and concepts in population sciences, To familiarize students to the fundamentals of population studies and its links with health, To impart practical knowledge and skills of demographic and health data sources and practical use of data.
To study principles of economics and its application in Hospitals.
The aim of this course is to develop the understanding of various statistical tools used for decisions making and how each applies to and can be used in the Hospital environment.
In this module, you will learn about introduction to nutrition, Physiological fuel value, Basal Metabolic Rate, Carbohydrates, Fibres, Lipids, Proteins, Vitamins, Minerals, Water etc.
To furnish the students with knowledge and skills regarding general principles of clinical trials research including regulatory, ethical principles & guidelines and theoretical idea about the design conduct and analysis of clinical trials.
At the end of this module, the student will acquire the soft skills necessary to work together and as a team player and will add value to any business / organization. The module will enhances the individual skill sets.
Second Semester (30 Credits)
To provide students with an understanding of the scope of the public health issues with regard to communicable diseases and non-communicable diseases in Switzerland and also provide them the overview with the national health programs that have been designed to address these issues.
To provide basic understanding towards research principles and methods, To introduce important analytical tools for research data analysis, To assist in the development of research proposals/reports.
To give an idea about the background objectives, action plan, targets, operations, achievements and constraints of various National Health Programmes.
To understand the global and national burden of nutritional deficiencies, to identify public health nutrition interventions, To study the impact of nutritional policies and programmes and nutritional status of the population
To familiarize students with the challenges of management of health care system in Switzerland, To familiarize students with the principles and techniques of management
To enable the students to identify the various sources of environmental threats and occupational hazards to health and the ways to manage these threats and hazards so as to prevent related diseases

Third Semester (30 Credits)
To impart an understanding of the scope of women and child health and to enable students to find and interpret relevant information on women and child health
To introduce different models of communication for use in health promotion activities and community based activities
To understand health systems and health policy making processes, To understand the health planning from the perspective of national and global developments concerning health sector.
To provide a basic knowledge of the immune response and its involvement in health and disease.
To provide an overview of demographic, social, psychological and health issues related to population ageing, to expose students to the health status of older adults, disease and disability burden and challenges to public health due to population ageing
To expose the student to various programmes/ activities in health sector and develop a comprehensive understanding of programme design, strategies and planned intervention
Fourth Semester (30 Credits)
To impart the practical knowledge through research methods, help formulate a rigorous research problem related to public health sector on the basis of their observation, help do an independent study and encourage working in a team with the help of tutor.
You need to submit a proper dissertation/project report of all the field work done in the semester.
Expect approximately 16 hours of work per week. This may include lecture videos, readings, discussions and assessments.
Live sessions will take place according on different time zones.
As an online student, you will have access to several types of support resources when you need help or guidance, beginning with new student orientation. Other services include a help desk for technical issues, a student services coordinator, financial aid advisers and more.
The online program can be completed in two years, not including the time required to complete the practicum and culminating project.

You will need to complete at least two different internship experiences encompassed in the applied practice experience, which is required for the MPH program
No, an MPH is not a doctor. An MPH is a master’s-level degree in public health; however, depending on the job role, a public health professional can be viewed as a public health practitioner providing information and select health services to individuals.
All online courses are live online not pre-recorded session. Beside that, there are often live workshops/masterclasses organized.
